Looking for a warm, fun and relaxed wedding ceremony that’s solemn and sincere at all the appropriate points?  Yes?  Well I might just be a perfect match for you, as a couple, so why not check out  some of my reviews and get in touch if you feel I might be a good ‘fit’ for you, as a couple!

A bit about me: I’m Maureen, I’m a humanist celebrant with Humanist Ceremonies Scotland, and I’m authorised to conduct legal marriage ceremonies and civil partnerships, along with renewal of vows, naming ceremonies, and funerals too.

I live centrally in Cumbernauld, and I’m more than happy to travel throughout Scotland to be a part of your special day.

I’m married to James, and our two grown up children, Greig and Amy, still live at home … well, some of the time that is!  Up until June, and being big dog lovers, we had the most gorgeous, and slightly mad working cocker spaniel, Murphy, who we sadly lost at the grand old age of fourteen and a half … here’s a wee photo of our special boy below, as I simply can’t bear to take it down from my website yet 🙁

As a humanist, I believe in kindness, consideration and respect for others, and I always try to treat others as I would expect to be treated.  I’m a firm believer in living life for today, because who knows what’s around the corner!

Now, when I’m not busy being a Celebrant, I love spending time with my family, playing games on my iPad, watching TV, and I’ve even been known to apply for TV game shows in the past, having met both John Barrowman and Nick Knowles on my travels.

A couple more random facts about me … I have an irrational fear of cutting my fingers, and I can also say the alphabet backwards!

p.s. one of my friends once confused humanism with naturism … wow, now that’s a completely different story!
